The updated and re-envisioned Santa Barbara home of married architects Mary and Joe Andrulaitis. The gardens were created as a fun and fantastic side note to the couple's optimized use of space for every outdoor lifestyle use imaginable; spa, ping-pong, fire pit lounge, covered dining, bocce ball, vegetable gardens, trampoline and a native lawn as the bonus room. The planting, a combination of California native and Mediterranean keeps the water use low but the color pops from the edges in sync with the habitat's occupants.
