Paul William's classic Spanish Colonial Revival originally built in 1928 with a large addition in 2021-22 gave us the pleasure of designing this landscape not once, but twice in 5 years time. We first walked into the lot in 2017 to an overgrown jungle with various old Hollywood stage set artifacts such as a golden Rhino head strewn about. The goal was to restore the history of the home first and remove the layers of odd decades and replace the jungle with Mediterranean dream gardens. We like to think about each outdoor living space as having its own intimacy with an awareness that you're living within the gardens, constantly surrounded by beauty.
